Junior Purchaser – Purchasing Department

Location: Walloon Brabant (15 minutes from Brussels), Belgium

With a strong presence across multiple markets and an ambitious expansion strategy, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and maintaining excellent relationships with our partners and customers.

Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Purchaser to join our procurement team. In this role, you will support the Purchase Manager in daily operations while gradually getting opportunities to take more ownership of suppliers and projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a high-impact purchasing role in a rapidly evolving company.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Purchase Manager in all procurement-related activities
  • Maintain accurate purchasing data and ensure proper follow-up
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding offers, samples, pricing and issues
  • Monitor deadlines and actively manage ad hoc requests
  • Assist in supplier evaluation, performance tracking and improvement
  • Contribute to cost optimization and negotiation processes
  • Take ownership of specific purchasing projects independently
  • Gradually manage a portfolio of suppliers as you grow into the role

Profile

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management
  • Well-organized and structured working style
  • Ability to manage deadlines and respond effectively to ad hoc requests
  • Good communication skills and comfortable interacting with suppliers
  • Demonstrates maturity, ownership, and a proactive mindset
  • Hands-on mentality and approach
  • Good negotiation skills or willingness to develop them
  • Fluent in English, French, and Dutch (both written and spoken)
