Job requirements and technical specifications

To help you craft an effective and engaging job ad on Stepstone, we’ve outlined all the essential information you need for a polished, professional job description that highlights your brand.

Company logo

The company logo should be displayed in a standardized size to enhance the navigation and brand consistency of the job ad. This uniformity makes it easier for candidates to identify your company.

Technical requirements

  • Image resolution: 160 x 160 px
  • Image size: max. 250 kb
  • Image format: .gif

Header image

Choose a header image or up to three images for an image slider to make your job offer visually appealing. Since the company logo is already placed above the job, avoid repeating it in the header images.

Make sure the images in the slider are all the same size for optimal display. If your images do not meet the required size, use our tool to crop them accordingly: Click here.

  • Image size: max. 2 MB
  • Image format: .jpeg (recommended), .png

3Background image

A background image can enhance the overall presentation of the job ad and reinforce your branding. Choose a background image that complements your header image without overpowering the content.

  • Image resolution: min. 1920 x 1080 px
  • Image size: max. 2 MB
  • Image format: .jpeg (recommended), .png

4Section titles

The job ad is divided into fixed sections: Introduction, Job Description, Profile, What We Offer, and Interested. You can strengthen your company’s branding by customizing the section headings in your company colors. However, the section titles themselves cannot be altered beyond this.

  • Section Order: The sequence of sections is fixed for consistency and optimal readability.

Important Note: Additional headings within individual sections are not possible, so make sure the content is well-structured and easy to read.

5Video integration

Add a video to provide more information about your company or the job. You can include YouTube or Vimeo links. However, be sure the video adds value, for example, an employee testimonial or a company culture video, and avoid using marketing or promotional videos that do not directly benefit the candidate.

Add the workplace address via Google Maps. At a minimum, city and postcode should be entered correctly. This will help candidates find your location quickly.

9Certificates

Enhance your company’s attractiveness by displaying any relevant certifications or awards. These certificates are stored in the Company Page and will automatically appear in all your job ads.
