Belgian employers join Stepstone for an insightful and unforgettable event
On Thursday, the 26th of September, we had the pleasure of welcoming our guests to our Stepstone office in Brussels. After a nice welcome drink and some appetizers, our renowned speakers took the stage to share their insights on the current job market environment.
Firstly, Stepstone Group Evangelist Tobias Zimmermann guided us through the global talent era and showed us how employers can overcome the challenges it presents.
Then, labor market economist Julius Probst provided a clear view of the macroeconomic factors and how they both directly and indirectly impact the European labor market.
Lastly, Professor of Empirical Labor Economics and TV personality Stijn Baert took us from the tip of the iceberg — addressing unemployment and its impact on various demographics — to the depths of the Belgian labor market, where he explained potential solutions to the market’s problems.
Afterwards, our guests enjoyed an extensive networking session. Among them were Amazon, Carrefour Belgium, IKEA, Paradigm, Verpoucke, and more.
