Cognizant’s Digital Business unit helps business develop and execute a digital business strategy aligned to their business objectives, leveraging digital capabilities and market advantages to produce sustainable competitive advantage. We have experts focusing on digital roadmaps and strategy, UX and inter active design as well as creating the back-end platforms to ensure a truly unique experience end-ton-end both for our clients and our clients’ clients. We specialize in helping clients create successful new business models when facing existential threats from digital technologies that provide competitors with low entry barriers.
We are looking for passionate graduates with a mind-set to software development in the digital space. In this job you will be responsible, as a Frontend developer, for the technical realization of project related transactions, i.e. responsible for independently implementing the design of new transactions within the architectural framework and respecting development standards. You are motivated and interested in web based technologies and a team player. You are communicative and can easily translate functional requirements into a technical implementation, and discuss your own technical requirements with your front-end, midtier (Java) and back-end (Mainframe) colleagues. You have attention for quality, maintainability, security, performance and testing. You document your status and progress in our JIRA ticketing system and document your code in our Confluence wiki. You have the ambition to obtain the best possible result for our customer and are not afraid to point attention points and/or propose improvements along the way.
Prior to starting your first client engagement, you will attend a three weeks induction program for graduates abroad to ensure you have a solid understanding of Cognizant’s culture and processes. You will have the opportunity for further training and support by our own Academy to help you achieve your long-term career goals, like working with different cultures, requirement gathering, project management, agile development and many more.
The induction program normally starts in January, May and September. These are also the moments when you will start with Cognizant.
In addition to your day to day project manager and your supervisor, we will assign a mentor from another Cognizant practice to ensure you get all the help and support you need to start your career on the best footing.
