For an international company located in Zaventem we're looking for a GL Accountant. We are looking for a polyvalent, dynamic hands-on team player. Do you have experience and ready for the next step?
The GL Accountant will be responsible for:
- close GL entries (payroll, ICO recharges, …) under the supervision of the Managers Accounting
- prepare the balance sheet reconciliation
- manage a couple of SOX controls related to Fixed Assets
- manage the professional fees spent process: set up of the Purchase Orders in SAP, follow-up the accruals and the reception of invoices, ensure payments, maintain a schedule with actual spent and forecast for budgeting
- support the Managers Accounting and the Tax Leads on ad hoc requests
- prepare the Leasing reporting
- prepare the BS and P&L reporting
- support the preparation of the Annual Accounts
- support the requests from statutory auditors
- support the submission of the tax forms 281.50 Commissions and Fees
- support the preparation of the statistical surveys
- contribute to automation project
- support Income Tax audit with collecting accounting information
Profile of ideal GL Accountant:
- you have around 3 years relevant experience in a similar role
- you have a Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- experience in payroll accounting is a plus
- excellent knowledge of BE GAAP with a first experience in US GAAP or IFRS
- fluency in English is mandatory (French or Dutch is a plus)
- knowledge of SAP or any other ERP system
- good knowledge of Excel
- you are eager to learn, hands-on and ambitious
