In this role you will secure real estate projects to be delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with law, legal requirements and Volvo Cars Standards and guidelines.
The area of intervention will be in the field of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, fire protection and energy production/distribution and piping for the building related installations, in the power plant, for the production plants, offices, etc..
Another area of intervention will be in the field of process media and process ventilation for process installations related to car projects.
New installations and the renewal of installations are part of the area of intervention.
Your main tasks
You will:
- Deliver pre-study, concepts and budget calculations upon request.
- Deliver engineering and construction studies for the business unit.
- Develop specifications & tender documents for construction and maintenance, or other facility management projects, by determining overall requirements in terms of project strategy, scope, budget, time, resource and technical content.
- Lead and execute Facility Management projects
- Establish and maintain cost control techniques for direct comparison to the allocated budget.
- Establish and maintain progress control techniques for direct comparison to project requirements.
- Lead the commissioning process of the projects.
- Maintain the records for all works, and this in conformity with company standards and procedures and legal requirements.
- Create and are responsible for the follow up of orders for engineering support within the different disciplines.
- Understand the nature of contract variations and negotiates the implications through a satisfactory conclusion.
Competence requirements
- You obtained a master with engineering background in the technical area’s.
- You are skilled in leadership, project management and network management.
- You are skilled in documentation
- You are fluent in Flemish and English language (written and spoken).
- You have experienced knowledge with in the area of HVAC and piping.
