For the Ageas Finance department, based in Brussels, we are looking for a Senior Tax Manager.
You ensure that Ageas is ‘in control’ regarding Tax Accounting & Reporting covering all reporting frameworks (e.g. IFRS, S2, CbC reporting) and you provide reliable and timely tax advice if and when required to all internal stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include among others:
Understanding, considering and reporting on the overall tax position of the Ageas Group;
Monitoring and reporting on all significant tax risks in the Ageas Group;
Ensuring that all entities that are part of the General Account are in compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations;
Reviewing the tax disclosures in the financial accounts and preparing quarterly tax reports (for use by the Executive Committee, the Ageas Board and auditors);
Managing the Group Tax role under Ageas FATCA Policy:
Keeping the FATCA status of the EAG entities up to date and assuring a consistent implementation across Ageas group
Maintaining FATCA documentation and tool kit
Providing support to the entities for FATCA related tax technical questions;
Providing pro-active tax related advice to optimize the Group’s structure and the Group’s effective tax rate but always ensure compliance with applicable tax law and regulations, including OECD regulations (e.g. BEPS);
Supporting M&A activities and other projects that have a (potential) impact on the Group’s tax position;
Initiating and coordinating the process to obtain tax rulings
You have an academic degree in Tax Law and Finance;
You have relevant experience (> 10 years) in one of the Big Four audit firms and/or Insurance Industry;
You are used to working in an international environment with different cultures;
You have good interpersonal relationship skills;
You are fluent in English
