For an international company active in the automotive sector, Hays Technical Sales is actively looking for a District Manager Wallonia. This company is a well known supplier of technical solutions for automotive professionals. They supply thousands of garages and auto shops in Belgium and have a broad offer of specialized products. Following an internal change, they have now opened a District Manager position.
As a District Manager, you manage a team of 15 Account Managers who each are responsible for their own zone in Wallonia. At the end of the day, your goal is to ensure your team reaches - and preferably exceeds, their sales targets. To do so, you accompany them frequently on the road to visit clients together and solve specific issues with them. You lead by example, coaching them and doing your best to help them improve. Given the completive nature of this sector, you are there for them when they hit a wall and find the right words to get them back on their feet and selling again. You act like a true leader, bringing positivism and motivation when your team needs it most. But you also take a step back and look at the numbers and trends to better understand your team's performance and improve it. Together with the HR team, you take part in the recruitment and training of newcomers.
For this District Manager position, we are looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of experience managing a sales team (ideally a team for more than 10 people) and a first experience in the automotive world (dealership or preferably technical supplier). Fluent knowledge of French and English is mandatory.
