Voor een van onze klanten in Maasmechelen zijn we op zoek naar een Customs Declaration Analyst.
Jouw verantwoordelijkheden
Bonded Warehouse Management:
- Major contact with customs and handle customs inquiries as internal specialist
- Manage inventory from a customs perspective
- Maintain and adapt processes to ensure an integrated ‘bonded warehouse’
- Control status of complete inventory: ‘Bonded’, ‘Free’ and ‘Inward Processing’
- Ensure accurate interfacing of import / export transactions
- Maintenance of commodity codes for all our products
- Prepare the monthly required legal reports and declarations
- Follow-up on changing requirements and maintain compliance with all legal obligations
Transport Operations:
- Handle incoming shipments by sending all necessary clearance information to the importer
- Organise daily outbound transport with forwarders and negotiate on rates and transit times
- Handle and follow up on claims and discrepancies
- Ensure efficient and effective special and express shipments
- Prepare Letter of Credit and Cash Against Documents
- Monitor, report and escalate major discrepancies
- Analyse performance of forwarders
- Problem solving and formulate corrective and preventive actions
Jouw profiel
- Fluent in English and Dutch
- Knowledge of inventory management
- Experience with customs legislation
- Knowledge of import and export rules
- Expertness in dealing with traffic related issues
- PC literate
- Accurate
- Communication and organizational skills
