Within BNP Paribas’ CIB division, Debt Markets EMEA gathers a group of 200+ loan (structured and vanilla) and bond (high grade and high yield) professionals located in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Brussels, Milan, Madrid and Lisbon, covering the bank’s core clients in Europe across all economic sectors. Debt Markets EMEA consists of three main teams: Leveraged Finance Capital Markets (LFCM), Loan Capital Markets (LCM) and Investment Grade Debt Capital Markets (IG DCM).

Together, these teams are responsible for the origination, structuring, underwriting and execution of LBO and Corporate Leveraged financings, investment grade bond and loan financings to large corporates, and integrated financing solutions to midcap and sub-investment grade corporate clients. The Structuring and Execution Group supports all these activities.

The Brussels team combines 20+ professionals of LFCM, LCM, IG DCM and the Structuring and Execution group, covering clients in Benelux and the Nordics.

Your future job

You would be joining the Structuring and Execution Group team based in Brussels as analyst and report to the local staffing coordinator. The Structuring & Execution Group is a central component of Debt Markets supporting senior originators across a wide range of debt products.

As an analyst,

you will be involved in preparing marketing and transaction pitches and deal execution.
you will run financial models, complete financial and credit analysis, sector research, write credit papers and learn to structure Debt Markets transactions. This requires strong quantitative and reasoning skills.
you will be expected to participate in different (cross-border) deal teams and work on several transactions in parallel, which requires good organisation skills and a commitment to working long hours when necessary.

Highlight your strengths

Candidate Profile:

University/MBA education level with finance or economics as major
Strong oral and written skills in English are a must, good oral and written skills in Dutch or French are also required
Analytical and risk aware (financial analysis, risk analysis and cash flow modeling)
Strong quantitative and reasoning skills
Previous experience in a corporate banking, corporate finance or project finance environment, ideally exposed to corporate credit or corporate finance, is considered an advantage
Team player with good communication skills
Hard worker, eager to learn
Stress-resilient
