As manager Customer Acceptance Risk you are responsible for the analysis, management and reduction of the customer onboarding risk. You will supervise the entities 'onboarding individuals' and 'onboarding organizations', who report to you, to design and implement the risk based approach of the client acceptance policy and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliancy aspects. You will participate in projects to overview the risks related with customer acceptance / AML / CTF (Counter Terrorism Financing) to support AXA Bank in the strategy to maintain a healthy and efficient organization. This position is situated in the Retail Business Segment of the bank where you will report to the Head of Customer Journey (CJ) Daily Banking and Deposits.
You are responsible for designing and implementing customer acceptance policies, processes and systems within the CJ Daily Banking and Deposits, that are in line with the regulatory and compliance aspects of Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), and in particular those related to the Know Your Customer (KYC) & Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes (client onboarding & review, of individuals & entities). Doing so you ensure a good balance between risks and pragmatism that results in a healthy and efficient organization.
Compliance risks within CJ Daily Banking and Deposits are identified, assessed and properly addressed by you.
You work in close collaboration with the Compliance function of AXA Bank, coordinate your considerations and positions with them and, where necessary, ask for advice, while maintaining a sufficiently critical view, considering the balance between business efficiency and risk.
Implementing the designed policies and solutions in your area, you ensure the necessary budget, projects and skills.
You act as a compliance & AML ambassador between the 1st and 2nd line of defense and as an ambassador towards management, other entities in the bank and external fora to discuss these matters.
As people manager you get the 'onboarding individuals' and 'onboarding organizations' teams on board with the (regulatory compliance) positions and decisions, thanks to your guidance and coaching. By your support and training, where needed, you help them evolve in their professional expertise.
To be able to fulfill your role successfully, you continuously keep your knowledge and understanding of the regulatory and compliance aspects of AML/CTF, KYC & CDD processes up to date.
You are able to make risk-based considerations, to translate obligations and regulations with open perspective in efficient business policies and processes by determining and substantiating your position, while consistently aiming to reach a good balance between risks and pragmatism. You feel comfortable with taking difficult decisions in those matters and reasoning them to others.
To build up the necessary rapport with your stakeholders, your personal qualities include the relevant degree of interpersonal, assertiveness, persuasiveness and negotiation skills, whilst displaying the necessary diplomacy. You are able to make your point, to land results and to offer other lines of business, whilst taking into account the views and interests of the various stakeholders.

You possess the necessary time management skills that enable you to succeed in a semi-autonomous, fast-paced environment.
To ensure fluent communications with your colleagues we expect you to be fluent in Dutch and English. A command of French for professional communications is also decidedly
considered a plus.
In order to allow you to swiftly immerse yourself in the role, it is useful to have a Master's degree and to have an elaborated professional experience, more specifically with regards to the regulatory and compliance aspects of Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), Know Your Customer (KYC) & Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes (client onboarding & review, of individuals & entities).
