For a fast growing company located south Brussels, Hays Technical Sales has been tasked with recruiting a Sales Engineer. Our client is a leading manufacturer of metallic structures and is active in over 20 countries in Europe and the Middle East. This company is specialized in temporary, semi-permanent and permanent metallic construction and works with clients in the industrial, entertainment and construction sector. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for a specific business line on the Belgian and European market. You will work closely with the Sales Director and your colleagues of the sales department to achieve the business plan and yearly targets. In this role, you will both work with existing clients and develop new accounts. Thanks to the project-based way of working, you will have the chance to manage your sales from A to Z, working together with other departments of the company to ensure an excellent technical service. This means this opportunity comes with both exciting challenges and many responsibilities.
For this position, we are looking for someone who has a master's degree in Business Engineering or Engineering (or any construction-related field) and at least 2 years of experience in sales. To be able to work with international clients, a fluent knowledge of English is mandatory as well as fluency in at least one of the next languages : French, Dutch or German. Experience working in a technical field, ideally in construction, and on projects is a very strong asset. The ideal candidate has a strong will to learn, is independent and proactive, and is eager to achieve his or her commercial targets.
