Introduction

Storm is accelerating the transition to a climate-neutral society.

We do this together with our 40 colleagues, by developing, building and operating onshore wind farms at the lowest possible social cost.

Since 2008, we develop, build and manage our wind farms in the most responsible way possible. We do this, among other things, by communicating openly and in a timely manner about our projects with all stakeholders.

Local residents and local authorities have the opportunity to participate in our projects and thus share in the profits. Local residents can participate in the Storm wind farms via the Storm CV cooperative. Storm CV now has almost 3,500 co-operants in wind farms throughout Flanders.

Due to the strong growth of its activities, Storm is looking for a 'Construction Project Leader'.

Your responsibilities

As Construction Project Leader, you start working on a wind turbine project as soon as the relevant permits have been obtained. You take care of preparations for the wind farm, supported by external and internal experts. As soon as the wind farm is ready for construction, you are responsible for the smooth execution of the works up to completion of the wind turbine project.

The main tasks & the responsibilities of the Construction Project Leader are as follows:

Taking the lead in the development of wind farms in Belgium (both in Flanders and Wallonia) from construction preparation to completion;
You are responsible for drawing up budgets, following up on tenders, negotiating and concluding the necessary agreements with contractors, as well as monitoring their implementation. You will be supported by a project team consisting of external and internal experts;

You monitor the safe, timely and qualitative execution of the works by the various contractors, for which you make regular on-site visits;
You take care of the periodic technical and financial reporting on the progress of the projects;
You provide support to the development team (drawing up budgets, carrying out site visits, etc.);
You occasionally participate in open site days (on weekends for local residents and stakeholders);
You occasionally participate in, for example, training courses and factory visits.

You report to the Construction Team Leader.

Your profile

You have an architectural technology and/or electrical master's degree programme, or equivalent through experience;
You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in project management;
You have very good knowledge of Dutch supplemented by a professional knowledge of English and French (both oral and written);
You have good communication skills, are persuasive and able to negotiate complex technical contracts;
You are flexible, pragmatic and can set priorities.
You have a strong sense of responsibility and can work autonomously, in a structured and accurate manner;
Experience developing wind farms is a plus.
