The European Union Sort Center (EUSC) leadership team is looking for a Launch Planning Program Leader accountable for the safe and on-time delivery of Air Hubs & Gateways and Sort Centers in Europe. This role is critical to support the rapid expansion of sort centers/air hubs and encompasses the oversight of the full end to end project life-cycle for site launches from Business Needs definition, Real Estate Searches through to Project Execution and Handover to Operations. The Launch Planning Program Leader will need to be a strategic thinker with solid program management expertise as well as solid stakeholder management capability to effectively orchestrate the delivery of sites to our internal customer EUSC Operations.

The Launch Program Leader ensures the coordination of all planning and execution activities (Engineering Procurement and Construction Management - EPCm) related to launches of new sites from the Business Needs Definition (Plan of Records) to handing over a fully functional building to Operations. This leader will coordinate an existing team of eight, covering four key functions: Real Estate, Project Management Office (PMO), Site Launch and Legal Entity/Launch Travel Team.
The Real Estate function is responsible for both brownfield (legacy sites) and greenfield (Built to Suit) site searches working in close collaboration with Real Estate, World Wide Design and Site Appraisal teams. The main deliverable is the lease signature of a site.
The PMO’s main responsibility is the tracking and reporting of critical path milestones relevant to the execution teams (Operations Engineering, Construction, Startup, Procurement) and the coordination between the planning, execution teams and the business.
The Site Launch team is responsible for the execution and coordination of specific site launch projects working closely with over 40 different functions/teams . They are responsible for the safe and on-time delivery of the sites to Operations.
The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders such as EUSC Operation Director, Regional Directors, Site leaders as well as key teams such as Network Planning, Finance, World Wide Design team, Ops Engineering, Start Up, Construction, Procurement, IT and RME.
