To drive our growth, we are looking for a Senior Pricing Expert as part of our International Pricing department.
The International Pricing department is tasked with setting the bpost pricing strategies, establishing how they are implemented and monitoring their proper use. It is tasked with optimising value capture at all current bpost International Commercial activities, while preparing them for the future by contributing to their strategic projects. Pricing activities are conducted in due compliance with the regulatory, operational and commercial frameworks.
As part of the International Pricing team and in regular contact with the Sales & Marketing, Legal & Regulatory and Operations departments, the Senior Pricing Expert will be responsible for setting the prices of a range of products and services to implement a coherent short, medium and long-term pricing strategy, as well as contributing to certain strategic projects.
Understanding the long-term bpost business strategy.
Helping develop the schedule and the financial year in the long term.
Running long-term simulations that take account of market and product developments.
Determining the impact of price developments on the various subdomains in the short and long term.
Contributing to the development of a pricing policy.
Matching the pricing structure to the various products.
Deciding on the promotional offers.
Establishing tactics and instructions related to the annual price increase cycle.
Conducting analyses, creating models and running simulations in association with the Pricing Analytics Managers/Experts, based on knowledge of the related various products, services, markets.
Studying the impact of price increases.
Continuing to develop and document instruments and methods.
Activating the correct pricing in the invoicing system.
At least 4 years’ experience in a similar position, having demonstrated a rigorous mindset, an analytical mind and an ability to communicate with all echelons of the company
Experience in channel pricing, indirect channel pricing
Knowledge of consumer & business marketing and market study techniques
Basic knowledge of the regulatory framework affecting the pricing policy (commercial law, competition law, postal law, management contract)
Knowledge of analytical accounting and profit-based pricing policy
Basic knowledge of SAS
Solid communication and organisational skills, enabling you to optimise the working relationship with the various stakeholders in the Pricing team and with other departments, at all hierarchical levels
Good command of French, Dutch and English.
