Introduction

Reporting to the Sales Director, and working strongly with the European Sales team, the Outside Sales Manager will be specifically targeted with growing the business for our IPL Loomans site through the acquisition of new projects and customers for existing product where appropriate.

The individual is expected to be mobile throughout Europe and actively seek out new opportunities in line with corporate strategy and initiatives.

Your responsibilities

  • You support the sales-team by mainly generating new leads and accounts
  • You’re a true hunter with a nose for opportunities within the defined market segments
  • You’re responsible for the commercial development of the B2B segment in your region
  • You represent our company at business events etc.
  • You easily get in contact with the relevant key players at targeted customers and you help build up a trustful long-term lasting relationship with them
  • You ask the right questions to key players to collect the information you need to develop the business, successful solutions/products
  • You work towards ambitious targets
  • You develop solutions and products together with internal stakeholders, f.e. R&D, local tooling, production and the customer which will provide a commercial and technical competitive edge and targeted profitability
  • You provide an all-time professional communication and make sure your reports are in line with the company standards

 

Scope of Responsibility & Complexity

You:

  • Become a key player in the European IPL sales team
  • Represent IPL Loomans externally to the wider markets we operate in
  • Understand our corporate and product offering, our capabilities and strengths
  • Build a strong sales pipeline for IPL Loomans
  • Partner with peers in Europe to identify synergies/opportunities in the entire region
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the (food) packaging and plastics markets

Your profile

  • You have strong technical and commercial capabilities in the injection molding, preferred in the food packaging area
  • You are an analytical, active problem-solver who thinks in solutions
  • On top of your technical skills you have a high emotional intelligence and good negotiation capability
  • You have outstanding communication skills, starting with active listening and understanding
  • You are experienced in influencing others
  • You have skills managing complex projects with customers and internal stakeholders
  • You have a good knowledge of different sales techniques and have an adaptive personality
  • You have a hunter personality with strong self-motivation
  • You speak and write fluently in Dutch and English
  • Knowledge of German and French is a great plus
