Lab Supеrvisor/ Manager

Job description:

The Laboratory Supervisor/ Manager is responsible for the day to day supervision of the laboratory unit (automated line, near line, lipids, immunoassay, molecular & ID, or R&D). In cooperation with laboratory section managers and laboratory director, oversees and supervises daily work activities within the laboratory unit to ensure efficient and effective scientific and administrative operations. Responsible for overseeing and reviewing daily area Quality Control and maintaining QC database. Responsible for setting up and validating new assays as assigned by the Laboratory Director.

Required profile:

Education and Experience   
 

• Bachelors degree in a science related field, Medical Technology, or Clinical Laboratory ScienceMT (ASCP) certification   
• 6 years experience as a Medical Technologist in a reference laboratory  
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities    

• Excellent critical thinking skills to support quality decision-making   
• Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills   
• Excellent oral and written communication skills   
• Proven problem solving/troubleshooting abilities   
• Leadership abilities  
• Proven pharmaceutical laboratory skills including analytical instrumentation experience   
• Ability to provide guidance on analytical issues and regulatory requirements   
• Detail oriented  
• Critical thinking skills to support quality decision making
