Our client, located in Kontich, is looking for a Java Developer.

Function Objective

Participate in the development, testing and maintenance of in-house developed software and assist in the implementation of outsourced software projects.

Position in Department

The Software Engineer will report to the Lead Software Engineer.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

In collaboration with the other members of the software development team:

• Develop new software modules and modify existing modules from documented requirements for existing systems, mainly related to Alba (Enterprise Resource Planning package), Warehouse System.
• Assist in managing outsourced software development projects (execute project tasks such as testing, documenting, etc.);
• Execute software test plans, assist in the creation of test plans;
• Assist in implementing software systems (configuration, monitoring...);
• Handle 2nd line support incidents for implemented software systems;
• Analyze and fix bugs and defects;
• Apply the software engineering processes and practices in use by the team.

Profile

Preferably a Master degree in IT or equivalent, minimum a professional bachelor IT ('Toegepaste informatica') or equivalent by experience.
