Job description
Since our current project engineer has decided to take a next step in his career, we are looking for a project engineer who will be responsible for our service applications.
We use applications for supporting the business in our Service division worldwide. These applications cover areas such as Inventory Management, Warranty Handling, connectivity( IOT), Spare part books, eCommerce and others.
The project engineer will be responsible and single-point-of-contact for the IT technical part of the Service applications.
Together with the Business application owner you will maintain the current application and build on the roadmap for the future landscape of our service applications.
You will ensure that all applications are working fine by monitoring availability and performance, ensuring a good user adoption, following up on (preventive) maintenance activities, introducing continuous improvements. You will need to build up a good relation and build on a sustainable framework with our IT partners (internal and external to achieve that .
With a vision to give transparency of machine information to our customers, connecting different applications in a secure but fast way will be an important part of your role .
You will be the main driver to build the future proof IT architecture in line with the IT guidelines.
The project engineer will report to the Program manager Business Systems in IT team.
Jouw profiel
Profile
The candidate for this position should have some relevant experience in customer facing applications and managing complex IT solutions.
He/she has already actively participated in process improvement and software implementation projects.
The candidate should have a strong interest in the improvement and automation of current processes and working methods.
Experience in connecting different application using database connection and API's is a must.
Basic Knowledge on Azure/.Net is a plus
A very good knowledge of English is a prerequisite. Mastering other languages is a plus.
The successful candidate should have a high school or university degree in marketing, engineering or IT discipline relevant to the job or similar through work experience.
The successful candidate should be able to:

- interact with the business, analyze their needs and elaborate effective solutions.
- handle pressure and to meet strict deadlines.
- Work simultaneously on different projects.
- demonstrate efficient planning and organizing skills.
The project engineer will usually work in Antwerp during standard working hours. However, he/she must be ready to travel to other locations and work outside standard working hours when needed.
