Financial Accountant VAT/Tax

• Monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, especially tax related.
• Review and maintain all Tax codes in all the systems (ERP, Concur, etc.).
• Act as the “Specialist In house Adviser” for all VAT & Tax related questions.
• Accounting review of transactions in Concur and BaaN.
• Responsible for the preparation of statutory annual financial statements.
• Preparations and assistance in both external and internal audit processes.
• Vendor account review – follow up aging list.
• Review payment batches on approvals.
• Preparing/reviewing relevant journal entries and assessing the need for accruals and provisions.
• Responsible in the monthly financial reporting to Corporate HQ.
• Fixed Assets Management (review Asset Register, maintenance and disposal).
• Assist the Financial Controller in Month End closing activities and consolidation process.
• Responding to ad hoc request and lead assigned project management responsibilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Approximately 8 years of financial accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High level knowledge of tax regulations (VAT & Income Tax).
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Experience with SAP and/or Concur would be an asset.
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a nice to have.
• Advanced computer skills (MS Office, SAP & BI, excellent Excel skills, etc.).
• Being accurate, accountable, positive and result driven.
• Strong communication, planning, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Advanced analytical and risk assessment skills.
