The Consolidation Manager has the responsibility to establish consolidated financial statements of Proximus Group to deliver to the Group reporting team and for external legal reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Ensures an efficient, compliant, accurate and timelymonthly and yearly consolidation process of Proximus Group financial statements
- Interacts with the subsidiaries to ensure compliance with Proximus Group accounting policies, internal controls, and GAAP.
- Drives standardisation and uniform implementation
- Reviews consolidation bundles received from subsidiaries
- Identifies (IFRS) restatements where needed and assists IFRS experts in analysis
- Ensure correct monthly intercompany reconciliation and elimination, adjusting and recurring journal entries
- Contributes to monthly, quarterly and yearly internal and external reporting
- Analyses consolidated data to ensure proper consolidation
- Organises all aspects of changes in consolidation scope
- Liaise with outside auditors and Internal general accounting teams
- Ensures business continuity and documentation of processes for consolidation
- Follows up ad hoc projects related to consolidation
- Contributes to the forecasting process and planning/budgeting process
- Liaises with external auditors, prepares material for external audit and implements action plans resulting from audit recommendations to ensure a clean audit opinion
- Strengthen the Proximus accounting expert community by
- Sharing knowledge and expertise and advice on the current IFRS standards in response to a planned transaction
- Contributing to the timely implementation of new accounting pronouncements and the evaluation and communication of their impact on reported outcomes
