Our Data Governance tools team is a team of developers, engineers and product owners, being part of the central Data department reporting to our Chief Data Officer.
We are developing ingenious data solutions for our central data governance tooling to collect and manage metadata coming from all businesses of the bank, to measure and improve data quality as well as to create user-friendly [meta]data visualisation for our 1000+ users.
Our tooling is a set of 4 different tools (Collibra, AbInitio, Power Designer, Tableau) enabling a 4-pillars objective such as client satisfaction, operational excellence, data protection in our regulatory environment and future-proof digital platform.
Your future job
Data Governance Tools is looking for a savvy engineer and developer. As Data Engineer you will have the opportunity to apply and develop your skills in several domains.
As an Engineer and Developer:
You design, develop and implement high-value, reusable and reliable [meta]data governance functionalities inside our data governance tools,
You collaborate, support and interact closely and intensively with Data Citizens (data owners, data quality analysts, data custodians, …) from the Data department as well as the data perimeters embedded in all the businesses of the bank, to deploy sustainable [meta]data solutions,
You identify, investigate and correct system bugs and performance issues to ensure platform user-friendliness (UX) and stability,
You design, configure and develop the user interface screens to display customized form and script (BPMN) workflows,
You connect various applications to our central tooling.
Highlight your strengths
You have at least a Bachelor degree in IT engineering. A Master degree or a first successful experience in data such as data governance, data quality or data analytics, reporting, … is certainly a plus
You can demonstrate a strong interest or passion for data & metadata, digital transformation and related topics.
You have IT development skills in one or several of the following technologies, platforms, languages: java, groovy, sql, MuleSoft, Mule ESB AnyPoint Studio, workflow coding tools (BPMN2.0, Eclipse), Collibra, Ab Initio, Tableau.
You demonstrate strong development skills, you are analytical and a creative problem solver
You put customer first and have very good communication skills
You iterate and adapt quickly but develop sustainable deliverables and solutions
You thrive in a team environment, happily sharing your knowledge and insights
You are fluent in English and proficient in French and / or Dutch
