The Brand, Communication and Quality department of BNP Paribas Fortis is looking for a Content Strategist to shape a compelling and authentic voice and narrative for the BNP Paribas Fortis brand.
The Content Strategist will develop the overarching content strategy in collaboration with the Head of Content, based on the identified company strategy and content pillars.
Your future role
The Content Strategist will develop and oversee the long-term planning and editorial calendar with the aim of promoting the brand and the underlying content themes, making sure the balance between brand and commercial messages is guaranteed throughout all internal and external touchpoints. He/she will lead the Monthly Content Board, prioritising themes and determining the calendar of the coming sprints.
Together with the Content Team, the Content Strategist will craft stories that bring the brand to life on owned and paid platforms, such as the brand website, emailings, social media, video, podcasts, blog posts, magazines, native advertising, intranet…
The Content Strategist will work with branding & guidelines to create a differentiating, cohesive brand voice and tone.
Based on metrics, he/she will determine what’s working and what’s not and make the necessary changes to the tactics, as needed.
The Content Strategist will partner with their counterparts in the business lines to support all marketing initiatives, including go-to-market, new launches, promotions…He/she understands business objectives and can translate these into content that is meaningful for the brand and actionable for the target groups.
Highlight your strengths
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, advertising, or a closely related field, or equivalent through experience.
Minimum of 7 to 10 years of content experience with a media company, creative agency or in-house team.
Experience in developing an effective content strategy (long term) and guarding the editorial calendar (short to medium term).
Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining a voice for a brand/medium, with a clear sense of what is authentic to both the company and the audiences.
Creativity in telling stories in multiple media platforms and in adapting content to suit the strengths of each platform: social media post, long-copy article, podcast, video…
Learning approach: constantly improve the content in function of measurement.
High-level thinker with strategic planning skills and a long-term vision.
Experience in bringing together diverse groups of stakeholders towards a common goal.
Proactive problem solver, proven organizational skills and an efficient time manager.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills in Dutch, French and English.
Ability to tap into metrics and analyses to continuously improve the content deliverables and ROI.
