As a Business Finance Analyst within our European Shared Services Center in Rotterdam/Merelbeke, you are responsible for the support of key stakeholders (business unit managers/directors, Exec Team, Investor Relations).
You provide decision support through financial modeling and analysis of scenarios, alternatives, capital investments, cost savings, etc. You provide guidance and deliverables in support of corporate processes for rolling forecast, annual business
planning, and corporate strategy quantification processes.
You are responsible for the preparation and presentation of closing analysis explaining how actual business performance varied from expectations. With your preparation and presentation, you are involved of investment decision project analysis to determine whether potential capital decisions will be value adding to the company.
For business strategies, operational changes, new product introductions, and any other business choices that could impact financial results you will provide decision support analysis. Process guidance and modeling in support of the company’s annual business planning, long range strategic quantification, and information packaged for investors and other external stakeholders.
Works to execute agreed upon process modifications and continuous improvement.
The Business Finance Analyst is reporting to the Manager Business Finance, Adhesives & Amines and can be either based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands or Merelbeke, Belgium.
You are a curious and ambitious individual with impressive analytical capabilities for assimilating and comprehending information to determine ‘’the big picture’’. As someone with a background in Business control, planning and analysis or Finance experience from one of the Big 4, you understand that Business Analyses is helping businesses to plan for a successful future. You can deal with resistance, are able to work with a team and continuously looking for improvement.
This is what you bring
You have an Accounting/Finance degree qualified with MBA preferred. Additionally, you have 3-5 years professional experience. You have shown a progressive growth in your career and are fluent in English (both written and spoken).
Finally, you have good knowledge of key systems /tools such as Sap (or other ERP program), Excel and other Microsoft analytical tools. Discounted cash flow modeling and other analysis techniques. Strong presentation skills and able to develop trust-based relationships.
