Our client is big innovative player in the production of polymers. It is part of a Japanese holding and produces and sells globally in Europe, America and Asia-Pacific, mostly to the automotive market.
The sales, technical and market development is supported by specialized local teams in each region. High technological innovation has led to new investments at the Ghent plant, where a whole new production line for the resins is being installed. We are looking for an experienced Business Development Engineer to now drive further expansion.
As Business Development Engineer you lead and progress projects to create a market pull by contacts through the supply chain and anticipate market trends for the resins business and related products and services. You cultivate an in-depth understanding of and develop an extensive network in the European automotive market and effectively build external relationship with identified value chain partners as it relates to defined strategic business goals.
You perform research and analysis into our strategic markets segments to understand market specifics, trends and detect potential commercial opportunities. You also anticipate market needs, define action plans and follow up their implementation with all parts of the internal organization and the external markets.
You promote products/solutions and develop lead generations aiming at creating new business opportunities. You gather together all the internal stakeholders (sales, technical service, R&D) to reach the defined strategic business goals.
You spend significant time at the new plant to make sure you know the ins and outs of the new production line’s possibilities.
You will be based in our offices in Ghent, Belgium and in this role you report to our two Project Owners.
