As a Business Application Manager you will be part of KBC’s Data Quality Management Department (DQM), which is a pivot between the finance and risk functions of KBC Group. DQM is responsible for the building and maintenance of reporting tools (calculation engines) and risk -and finance reports for KBC Worldwide. Crucial is that this data needs to be on time, correct and complete.
Our teams are composed of colleagues with ICT experience, as well as colleagues with a business background. You will work in a mixed Business-ICT team, responsible for - among others - design, maintenance and support of the IFRS9.2 central engine calculation tool. This system calculates impairments for all group entities (Belgium, Ireland and Central Europe) and is the basis for booking provisions and internal and external Risk and Finance reports, at both local and group level.
As an application manager you will be responsible for up and running applications. This implies that you take care of production issues, the follow up and implementation of change requests, and realization of multiple projects (discussing business requirements, release planning, testing, communication, …). As such you will be an important bridge between the business users and the technical experts and this within an international team of specialists.
You add value by translating complex business requirements into functional requirements, will help our users with their questions and problems (client centricity) and be responsible for the access rights for the applications managed within the team. Together with your colleagues, you are end-to-end owner of changes. You’ll have contact with the vendor as well.
