Automation Engineer

Your responsibilities

As an Automation Engineer, you are responsible for programming, implementing, and optimizing advanced automation systems for the machines.

Your responsibilities include:

Programming PLC control systems and HMI displays, taking into account operational objectives and customer-specific requirements.
Testing, validating, and fine-tuning software and hardware to ensure optimal performance.
Working within predefined project budgets and striving for effective, customer-focused solutions.
Briefing service engineers who are responsible for the installation and commissioning of the machines at the customer’s site.
Providing troubleshooting support and resolving technical issues, either remotely or on-site at the customer’s location.

Your profile

Master’s degree in electromechanics, specialization in automation, or equivalent experience, with a strong interest in the interaction between mechanics, electricity, and control systems.
Experience with PLC systems and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Strong analytical skills that allow you to identify the core of a problem, maintain oversight, and switch smoothly between priorities.
Good knowledge of mechanical design and the motivation to further develop this expertise.
A strong communicator who promotes collaboration and alignment.
Professional proficiency in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French and/or German is an asset.
A committed and customer-oriented approach.
Strong attention to detail.
Open, clear, and constructive communication with customers and colleagues.
A team-oriented mindset.
Willingness to travel for service assignments with international customers (maximum 1 to 2 consecutive overnight stays).
